The Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Folashade Yemi-Esan has called on Federal Civil servants to imbibe the culture of regular exercise. She made the call at the 2023 annual Civil Service week aerobics and sports.
Mrs Yemi-Esan emphasised that a healthy mind needs a healthy body to survive.
“We are all here this morning to show that it’s very important to have healthy bodies and with the aerobics we’ve done this morning, I can attest to the fact that all Civil servants are very healthy. So please, let’s keep this up.
She urges Civil Servants to take advantage of the Federal Government Wellness Centre to keep the mind and body in good health and shape.
“The Office of the Head of Civil Service has provided a Wellness Centre to ensure that we keep our bodies and also our minds healthy. Please make use of this wellness center “, She said
According to the Head of Service, the Wellness Centre has professional Counselors to handle both emotional and nutritional cases.
“It’s important for you to go there because it’s well equipped. We’ve a very well equipped gym there and we’ve Counsellors that’ll counsel you both emotionally and nutritionally, she emphasised.
She added that in line with the Office of the Head of Civil Service agenda of digitalisation, the body needs to be healthy to fit into the digital space.
