BTS’ Jungkook and Jimin set new Guinness World Record
Jungkook and Jimin, both members of the K-pop group BTS, have set new Guinness World Record (GWR) with songs from their solo careers which have been nothing short of remarkable.
Jungkook’s latest solo track, “Seven,” has taken the music world by storm. It achieved the title of the most streamed track on Spotify in one week (male), boasting an impressive 89,748,171 streams.

On its debut day, “Seven” gathered 15,995,378 plays, making it the second most streamed track on Spotify in 24 hours by a male vocalist, coming just shy of Harry Styles’ “As It Was.”
The popularity of “Seven” didn’t wane throughout the week, with at least 11.6 million streams each day during the tracking week that ended on July 20, 2023.

The song’s success reached new heights, reaching a milestone as the fastest music track to hit 100 million streams on Spotify (male) in just eight days after its global release on July 14.

Meanwhile, Jimin’s 2018 single “Promise” is also making waves. It recently became the most streamed track on SoundCloud, amassing a staggering 330 million plays on June 17, 2023. Back in December 2018, it made a splash by becoming the most streamed track on SoundCloud within just 24 hours of its release.
As part of the BTS band, their collective music has been streamed an astonishing 31,960,000,000 times as of March 3, making them the most streamed male group on Spotify.
They are truly setting the bar high in the music industry, securing awards like the most followers on Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok for a music group.
Furthermore, BTS has earned a place in the Guinness World Records Hall of Fame and has previously held records for the most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours, the most streamed track on Spotify within the first 24 hours, and becoming the first K-pop act to reach No.1 on the US albums chart.
