Osun Assures Tech Entrepreneurs Of Friendly Policies.
The Osun State Government has assured entrepreneurs in the field of science and technology that it would create an enabling environment for their businesses in the state.
This was disclosed by the state Commissioner for Science, Information and Communication Technology, Mr Maruf Ayofe, who spoke at a ‘Techpreneur Stakeholders Conference’ organised by Opolo Global Innovation Limited, in Osogbo.
Ayofe, who was represented by the Director of Technology in the ministry, Mr Lateef Ajiboye, explained that government policies would encourage emerging ecosystems in the state to become more vibrant, thereby, creating more employment opportunities.
A bulletin published by the state Ministry of Information quoted Ayofe saying, “Osun state government is determined to turn the fortune of the entire state around positively through science, technology and innovation policy, information communication tech policy, digital economy and start-up policy, among others.
“These policies will assist emerging ecosystems in the state to develop technologically.”
The Head of Branding and Strategic Communication, Opolo Global Innovation Limited, Dr Rasheed Adebiyi, said the conference was organised to bring stakeholders together and discuss ways to further improve on the achievements so far in technology and entrepreneurship in the state.
Adebiyi also lauded Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, for placing a high priority on science, technology, and innovation in the state.
