The republic of Indonesia has expressed its readiness to establish vaccine industry in Nigeria to strengthen bilateral relationship in the health care system.
The Indonesian Ambassador to Nigeria, Ambassador Usra Harahab stated this in Abuja, during Indonesian 78th independence Anniversary organized by the Embassy.
“Nigeria and Indonesia have plan to establish vaccine industry in Nigeria, in this regard recently Nigerian Ministry of health has visited Indonesian vaccine factory to accelerate the deal.”
Ambassador Harahab added that, Nigeria and Indonesia have been enjoying bilateral relation in the area of Education, Security, Health, Energy, Cultural exchange programme among other sectors.
“This year, Nigeria and Indonesia have signed Memorandum of Understanding MOUs in Defense Industry to promote intelligence sharing, education and training on security matters.”
The envoy urged the two countries to explore more on economy to balance the trade ties between the two countries.
“Indonesia imports three point eight Million US Dollars crude oil and exports only five hundred thousand US Dollars.”
One of the dignitaries at the occasion, and Aid to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olo, Mr. Adeboye Adeyika, commended the cordial relationship existing between Nigeria and Indonesia, especially in cultural exchange.
“When talking of tourisms Indonesia is one of the best countries in the world what you have seen today shows they have a lot to offer in the world and with Nigerian relationship I believe we learn from them.”
Nigeria and Indonesia have long standing diplomatic relation since 1965
