KADCHMA to enroll 30,000 private school teachers in health scheme

Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority (KADCHMA) on Thursday said it would partner with the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools to enroll 30,000 Staff of their members in the state’s contributory health scheme.

Director-General KADCHMA, Abubakar Hassan, stated this during a meeting with the executive members of the association at the Board Room of the authority in Kaduna.

He stressed on the need for members of the association to embrace the scheme in order for them to reduce out of pocket spending on their health needs.

“With the signing of the new Health Insurance Act in 2022 by the former President, Muhammad Buhari, health insurance scheme was now mandatory for all Nigerians.”

The Chairman of the Association, Mallam Ja’afaru Yusuf, explained that the executive members of the association attended the meeting because of the benefits their members would derive from the scheme.

He said they were ready to finalise discussion on the enrollment process with the authority.

Yusuf expressed the association’s readiness to support the state policies and programmes aimed at moving the State forward.
