Equities transactions on the Nigerian Exchange closed with gains on Tuesday to sustain the bullish sentiments recorded on Monday as the all-share index rose by 0.44% to close at 65.499.67 points.
The market sentiment however closed negative with 16 gainers as against 26 losers.
At the end of the days’s trading, a total of 293.46 million shares valued at N4.12 billion were traded in 5,895 deals.
Cornerstone Insurance Company led the gainers with 9.85% gain to close at N1.34k followed by Computer Warehouse Group with 9.74% gain and a closing price of N4.28k and SCOA Nigeria gained 9.37% to close at N1.40k.
On the other hand, Nigerian Breweries lost 10% to close at N38.25k. It was followed by Chellarams also with 10% loss and a closing price of N3.96k then Sunu Assurances Nigeria also lost 10% to close at N0.72k.
Transcorp Nigeria had the highest volume of 41.4 million traded shares and was followed by Access Holdings with 36.2 million shares.
