The Commander 6 Division Garrison/ Commander Sector 3 Joint Task Force(JTF) South-South (SS) Operation DELTA SAFE(OPDS), Brigadier General Edet Effiong says synergy among Nigeria’s Security agencies is critical to the success of military operations.
General Effiong made this known when the Commander 115 Special Operations Group, SOG, Nigerian Air Force, NAF, Group Captain Ali Idris paid him a courtesy call in his office at Bori Camp, Port Harcourt.
In a statement by the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, 6 Division, Major Danjuma Jonah, Major Brigadier General Effiong noted the significance of the synergy between the Army and NAF, especially in the fight against criminalities.
He further stated that synergy is one way to avoid casualties as all the Services need each other to be able to operate effectively.
The Commander 115 SOG said his visit was necessary to familiarise himself with military formations around Port Harcourt. This he further said would strengthen the existing relationship among the Services.
He stressed the importance of collaborative efforts in military operations, adding that it is critical in mitigating security challenges and ensuring stability in a joint operations area.
