Jigawa Government Supports Defence Ministry in Tackling Insecurity

The Governor of Jigawa State in Northwest Nigeria, Mallam Umar Namadi, has proclaimed that his state presently ranks among the most serene regions within the nation. Nevertheless, he earnestly implores the Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru to confront security challenges head-on to ensure nationwide tranquility.

The Governor stated this when he led a delegation of the Jigawa State government on a courtesy call on the Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru at the Headquarters Ministry of Defence, Abuja the nation’s capital.

The delegation led by the Governor of the State, comprised Senators and Members representing Jigawa State at the National Assembly, the speaker of the State Assembly, state lawmakers, Commissioners, traditional rulers as well as the business community of Jigawa State who were at the Ministry of Defence to congratulate the son of the soil on his appointment.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Governor of the State Mallam Umar Namadi said the powerful delegation is a demonstration of how good Alhaji Mohammed Badaru was to the people of the state when he was the Governor.

Mallam Namadi pointed out that the people of the state also came to pray for the Minister to succeed on the responsibility saddled on him by the President, Bola Tinubu as the Minister of Defence as they expected him to succeed based on his antecedents.

The Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru appreciated the delegation from his state and for the honour accorded him. He called for continued prayers for the nation from the people and Nigerians as a whole.
