The Kano State Government has sacked the Commissioner of Lands and Physical Planning, Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, and Special Adviser on Youths and Sports, Alhaji Yusuf Imam, for allegedly making unguided utterances considered disrespectful to the Judiciary and Vice-President Kashim Shettima.
The Commissioner of Information, Alhaji Baba Halilu Dantiye, disclosed this during an emergency media briefing held on Friday night in Kano.
“Following the unguided utterances made by the commissioner and Special Adviser on Youths, Aliyu Yusuf Imam, they have been relieved of their appointments with immediate effect.

“The Kano State government has respect for the Judiciary and the vice-president; henceforth no government official should talk on any issue outside his ministry or parastatals,” said Dantiye.

He urged the people of the state to always be law-abiding and respect the rule of law.

It would be recalled that the sacked officials allegedly made the unguided utterances in a video clip, which went viral on social media.

In the video the state officials had allegedly threatened the lives of the election tribunal judges and uttered disrespectful words to the Vice-President Kashim Shettima.
