APC Nasarawa State Backs Governor’s Decision To Appeal Tribunal Verdit

The Nasarawa State Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC has express its support for governor Abdullahi Sule, on his decision to appeal against the verdict of the Gubernatorial Election Petition Tribunal.
The state APC chairman, Aliyu Bello stated this after the party stakeholders meeting in Lafia, Nasarawa state capital.
He said that APC as a party unequivocally and categorically reject the spilt judgement of the tribunal of two to one annulling the re-election of governor Sule.
“It is the candid and considered opinion of our great party, the APC that the Election Tribunal erred in arriving at its decision.
“Tribunal also committed a monumental errors in declaring PDP, candidate as winner of March 18 2023 election in the state
“We identify ourselves with the dissenting judgment which is firmly rooted in Law, facts and logic. This further strengthened our resolve to pursue the appeal.
Bello, said facts and arguments presented by our Legal team and that of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), against the petition of the PDP and its candidate, David Emmanuel Ombugadu are overwhelming and incontrovertible.
He however said, “as a law abiding people oriented political party that believes in the rule of law, the APC in Nasarawa State hereby appeal to all the good people of the State, especially our teeming supporters, and well-wishers to remain calm, and await the pursuit of justice, by our hardworking Governor, His Excellency, Abdullahi A. Sule, to take its course.
“We reassure His Excellency of the party’s support and loyalty. We are very optimistic that the inadvertent decision of the Tribunal Is only a temporary drawback, which will be redressed at the Appeal Court”, APC chairman noted.
