Most Reverend Maxwell Anikwenwa, retired Archbishop of the Niger and Dean, Church of Nigeria, will receive a Posthumous meritorious service award from Paul University Awka.
The adjunct Vice-Chancellor of Paul University, Awka, Prof Godwin Onu announced this in a press statement made available to newsmen through the Public Relations Officer of the university, Sir Ikechukwu Abana.
Paul University Awka will on Friday 6th October 2023 perform the convocation ceremony of its graduates cut across all disciplines. The event is scheduled for 12 Noon.
According to the release, the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Paul University, Ven Prof Obiora Nwosu on behalf of the Senate and the Governing Council is inviting all to the epoch-making event.
The Primate of All Nigeria, Archbishop Metropolitan, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, His Grace, and Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba will be installed as the Chancellor of Paul University, Awka.
“The Chancellor of the university will be installed, there would be award of honorary doctorate degrees and first degrees as well as Diploma to deserving graduands,” it added.
The statement further announced that the convocation lecturer will be delivered by Hon Val Ozigbo, former Governorship candidate of PDP in the Anambra State 2021 Governorship election.
“At the convocation, 385 graduands will convocate, 4 Doctorate degree Awardees” the statement further stated
Paul University is owned by Anglican Communion across 55 dioceses and His Grace, The Most Reverend Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim PhD as the Archbishop of the Province of the Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese is the host Archbishop.
