Governor Mutfwang vows reposition festivals to attract international audience

The Governor of Plateau state, Caleb Mutfwang, has vowed to repositioned festivals in Plateau, to attract International tourists and investments.

He revealed this in his goodwill message on the celebration of the Pusdung festival of the Ngas ethnic group of Plateau.
Mutfwang message was delivered in a statement issued by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Mr Gyang Bere, on Saturday in Jos.
He noted that leveraging on the state’s rich cultural heritage and assets would unlock its vast tourism potentials for development, which would have multiplier effects in other sectors.
He described the festival as a period for the Ngas nation to assess their achievements and take decisions aimed at accelerating the growth and development of their land and people.
He acknowledged the annual festival as pivotal in promoting purposeful vision, fostering unity, and cultivating a distinct national identity for the Ngas people in Northern Nigeria.
Mutfwang reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to provide a conducive platform for cultural festivals to thrive within the state.
He called on the citizens of Plateau to unite in promoting peace and harmony in the state.
