The Commander, 4 Special Forces (SF) Command, Maj. Gen. Hilary Nzan, has Flagged off Exercise Endurance Peace III, warning criminal elements to vacate Benue, Nasarawa States and environs or they would be hunted and crushed by the Armed Forces and other security agencies.
Maj. Nzan stated this at the at 401 Special Forces Brigade Set-up Headquarters at Tyodugh, Agan council Ward of Makurdi, Benue state capital.
General Nzan reiterated that kidnappers, armed robbers, cattle rustlers, recalcitrant herders, and farmers to think twice before indulging in any activity that is against the law.
“I can assure you that the military and other agencies out for this exercise will hunt you anywhere you hide and they will crush you mercilessly.
“Enough is enough for you all criminals as peace is not negotiable in Benue. Be all warned,” the Commander noted.

He said the operations were aimed at checkmating various skirmishes and criminalities within the state especially as the yuletide season approaches.
While flagging off Exercise Endurance Peace III, the Executive Governor of Benue state, Father Hyacinth Alia, said “they are the reason each time I am out there talking about the current insecurity we are experiencing in the state shall be a thing of past.
“They are renewed hope of protection to all of us, this exercise is again a renewal to all of us on the fact that they are with us, they are for us and they would leave no stone unturned to pursue the bad guys out into the ocean.
“I am very appreciative of the sacrifices they render to the nation and above all here in the state”.
Also, the Commander 401 Brigade, Brig. Gen. Alamin Rabiu said that the exercise was aimed at addressing the various security challenges facing Benue and by extension the entire nation.
The Commander further explained that the brigade carried out adequate preparations and planning toward achieving success which culminated in a demonstration of capabilities, firepower, and intense cooperation between the brigade and other security agencies within the state.
He also urged the participating troops to maintain a high level of proficiency and effectiveness in the discharge of their duties.
