President Tinubu approves FERMA Governing Board

Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of the Governing Board and Management team of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), for a renewable term of four (4) years.

A directive issued and signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale stated that the appointments are in accordance with Section 2(3) of the FERMA Amendment Act, 2007.

The names on the list of latest appointments in FERMA are Engr. Imam Ibrahim Kashim Imam, he is to Chair the FERMA Board.

Engr. Chukwuemeka Agbasi was nominated to be the Managing Director of FERMA.

Members on the Board includes; Yusuf Lawal Othman representing (NARTO), Engr. Ibi, Terna Manasseh is to represent the Federal Ministry of Works, ACM Shehu Mohammed is nominated as Member (FRSC), Babatunde Daramola-Oniru (Finance)

Member from the geo-political zones includes Hon. Preye Oseke (South-South), Member (South-West) Hon. Oye Ojobe, Member (South-East) Dr. Kenneth Ugbala.

Others includes; Member from the North-Central Nigeria, Sen. Timothy Adudu, Member (North-East) Engr. Abubakar Bappa, Member (North-West) Aminu Adamu Papa.

The directive further stated that the President expects the new appointees to achieve competent service delivery, following the central role that the institution plays in the development of infrastructure nationwide.
