Nigeria’s Mining Week has kickstarted, the three day event which begins from 16th-18th October, 2023 at the International Conference Centre, ICC, in Abuja, the nation’s Capital with the aim of reshaping the country’s Mining Landscape.

The event is organised by the Miner’s Association of Nigeria and hosted by the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, In partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers, PWC, VUKA Group and Mining Review Africa with the theme “Capitalising on Nigeria’s Critical Mineral Resources For Economic Growth.”
The 2023 edition, which is the 8th in the annual series with Key Areas of Discussion on Youth Integration in the mining ecosystem, Sustainable and responsible mining, Mining investment and global trends impact, Energy Transition; Ensuring an energy transition plan, Capitalising on Financial Services, Opportunities and Partnerships for the Mining sector.
According to the Organiser’s of the event, the Mining Week will bring together national and international industry players in the Mining Industry with more than 60 exhibitors, 40 mining and exploration companies and 1500 participants from all over the world.
Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu will officially open the event with a tour of the exhibition area on day two, 17th October, 2023 .
Key speakers during the event are Nigeria’s Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Oladele Alake, UN Women Country Representative to Nigeria, Ms. Beatrice Eyong, Senate Committee on Solid Minerals, Senator Osita Ngwu, Former Chief Justice of the Gambia, Hon. Justice Emmanuel Fagbenle, Chief Executive Officer, Titan Mining Nigeria, Fadi Ghazale, President and CEO, African Finance Corporation, Samaila Zubairu amongst others.
