Information Minister Pledges Support For National Orientation Agency

Nigeria’s Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, says the National Orientation Agency (NOA) remains a strategic agency in Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Minister was speaking during his visit to NOA as part of a tour of agencies under his ministry, to assess their operations and ensure that they are aligned with the policies of the Nigerian government.

This is where value re-orientation and new direction for our country should begin,” the Minister said in his address to members of staff of the NOA, assuring that the President is very passionate about the agency.

The President is very passionate about rebuilding national orientation, and he is going to do everything possible to ensure that you get what you need to deliver that orientation.”

During the visit, he was received by members of staff and the Director General of the agency, Dr. Garba Abari.

He was also taken on a tour of relics, symbols and national monuments housed in the agency for safe keep, preservation and education.

Some of the monuments the Minister saw included the office of the first democratically elected president of Nigeria, Shehu Shagari, under the Second Nigerian Republic.

The Minister’s visit to the NOA comes on the final leg of tour of agencies under his purview, which ends on Tuesday, with a scheduled visit to the Nigerian Press Council.
