VON, Dangote Group seek stronger Ties to Project Nigeria’s Global Image

Voice of Nigeria VON and the Dangote Group are exploring fresh options to reinvigorate Nigeria as a brand in the global scheme of things.
This much was revealed by the Director General (DG) of VON, Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace, when representatives of the Dangote Group visited his office on Wednesday in Abuja.

He said as an African conglomerate, the Dangote brand has positively impacted on Nigeria’s image abroad.
Mr. Ndace said: “VON will, going forward, explore options for enhancing relations between the two organisations.”
He described as timely, collaboration between the private and the public sectors, as the DG received representatives of the Dangote Group on a congratulatory visit to his office.
The Dangote Group’s delegation included Mr. Jibrin Abubakar and Jamila Nuhu Musa. Both expressed eagerness to explore areas of mutual interest, co-operation and partnership between Dangote Group and the Voice of Nigeria.
Of particular significance, Dangote Group aims to contribute to the narrative of propagating Nigerian stories across Africa, which is a core mandate of Voice of Nigeria.
The DG VON expressed his gratitude to the Dangote Group representatives for their visit.
He emphasised the ongoing efforts to revitalize the VON brand and align it with its unique responsibility as the sole entity tasked with conveying the stories of Nigeria and Africa to the global audience.
“This strategic partnership holds immense promise for both organisations and offers invaluable opportunity to amplify the narratives of Nigeria and the African continent”, Ndace said.
