IPAC Commends Governor Sule for Executing Legacy Projects in Nasarawa State

The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), has commended the Nasarawa state governor Abdullahi Sule, over the legacy projects executed, across the state.

National chairman of IPAC Engineer Yabagyi Sani, stated this during a tour of ongoing and completed projects across the state.

He expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done at various projects visited.

Sani, who is also the National Chairman and Presidential candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), said the group had decided to go around the country to inspect projects executed by governors to ensure accountability in governance.

Deliver on their campaign

He said they were in Kano, Imo, and now Nasarawa State for on-the-spot assessment to see things for themselves and ensure that elected leaders deliver on their campaign promises.

He further said that the team would not be able to visit all the projects in the state due to time constraints.

He listed some of the projects inspected including the Sani Abacha Bus Terminal Karu, Luvu Road in Mararaba, the Permanent site of the College of Health, Science Technology Keffi, the dual-carriage Roads from Total Filling Station to Federal Medical Centre (FMC) roundabout and from FMC roundabout to Nasarawa Road.

Others inspected are Keffi Neighborhood Market, Keffi Square and Museum, Antou Bridge, and Arusu Road in Kokona LGA.

In Akwanga LGA, the team visited Moroa Road, the newly established Faculty of Engineering, Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) at Gudi, a remodeled VIP Lodge and Events Centre, Neighborhood market as well as a neighborhood market at Nassarawa-Eggon LGA respectively.

In Lafia, the team inspected the dual-carriage Shendam Road, the Bus Terminal at Bukan Sidi, the dual-carriage Shinge Road, Aliyu Doma Banquet Hall, the New Presidential Lodge, and the ongoing construction of the State Secretariat complex.

Others are; Lafia Cargo Airport, Vocational and Training Institute Lafia, Abuja, and Al-Makura streets, and Presidential Lodge.

Performance of the governor

He explained that the Mega Bus Terminal in the Mararaba-Karu axis has helped in reducing traffic jams in the area, which is one of the major problems because Karu is a gateway to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.

He explained that the projects covered a wide spectrum including education, employment generation, tackling insecurity, reducing poverty, and boosting the economy of the state.

He said the inspection was in fulfillment of the mandate of IPAC to deepen democracy, adding that they were impressed with the performance of the governor so far.

“We are also aware that he has employed workers, implemented promotions of civil servants, and paid salaries promptly,” he stated.

The team was received in Karu and Keffi LGAs by the council Chairmen James Thomas and Mohammed Baba-Shehu.
