The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr Felix Morka has condemned the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for what he termed a display of “crass irresponsibility.”

The PDP had called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to disqualify Governor Hope Uzodinma, the APC’s standard bearer in the upcoming November 11, 2023, governorship election in Imo State.

The PDP’s request in a statement by Felix Morka APC’s National Publicity Secretary is  based on a seemingly concocted and flimsy allegation that Governor Uzodinma was involved in the creation of a viral video announcing the withdrawal of Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the PDP’s governorship candidate in Imo State.

Morka emphasised that neither Governor Uzodinma nor the APC had any involvement in the production of the video.

He asserted that the Governor and the party have been fully engaged in campaigning and have no time for such alleged propaganda.

He went on to express confidence that a credible investigation into the video’s origins would reveal it as a malicious creation by the PDP, aimed at tarnishing Governor Uzodinma and the APC.

Morka suggested that the PDP’s allegations are baseless and senseless, designed to undermine the unmatched track record and popularity of their candidate.

Despite the political tension stirred by these allegations, Morka conveyed the APC’s unwavering confidence that the people of Imo State will not be swayed by what he termed the PDP’s “last minute antics.”

He affirmed that the electorate is poised to re-elect Governor Uzodinma, citing the Governor’s track record and popularity as decisive factors in the upcoming election.
