Voting Continues With Large Turnout In Kogi State Off-Cycle Guber Election

With few hours to the end of voting, large crowds have continued to throng Polling stations on the ongoing Kogi state Off-Cycle Governorship election.
The election in Lokoja the state capital witnessed early arrival of officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC as well as voting materials.
Observations reveal that in polling unit 067 ward A, Kogi Hotel Tourism Board, accreditation of voters and voting started at 8.30 a.m local time.
Voters were already on queue before accreditation time. This trend has continued as the unit has up to 700 registered voters.
The situation was the same in polling unit 068 ward A, Baptist Plaza, voters conducted themselves peacefully, even without the present of a security agent at the polling unit.
At polling unit 065 ward A Saron Gari, voters were seen still taking their turn to vote.
In polling unit 0065/ward A, Crowder Memorial College, there was a massive turnout of voters as the election was hitch-free.
However, in some areas, Polling units have started receiving less number of voters as many rushed to cast their votes in the early hours.
