CAN Prayer Summit focuses on nation Healing

Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) held prayer summit in Nasarawa State seeking God’s intervention to heal the country from the woes currently going on.

The summit took place at Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ (ERCC) Graceland in Lafia, the state capital.

Speaking at the event, CAN Chairman in the state, Rev. Sunday Emmah, said the session was aimed at seeking God’s mercy over the lives of the people given the hardship they are going through at the moment.

He said they are also gathered to pray for the state and the country for God to give those in authority the will, ability, strength and intentions to improve the country and its people.

“Biblical records abound on how God delights in showing love, favour and mercy to unmerited and undeserving people when they call upon him in truth,” he added.

He further said that the people and leaders should sincerely seek for God’s wisdom to tackle the economic and security problems in the country and see what the Lord is capable of doing.

He therefore, called on Nigerians irrespective of their religious beliefs to put the country and the leaders on their private prayers for God’s intervention.

Guest Speaker at the event, Dr Francis Shayo, lauded the association for the annual prayer summit

explaining that such prayer be organised regular and it should reflect in the daily lives of the people, as the only way the country would be good again.

The Theme of the 2023 prayer summit is ‘Oh Lord show us your Mercy‘.
