Infrastructure: FCT Minister affirms commitment to implement projects

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Mr Nyesom Wike says the Administration remains steadfast and resolute in its current efforts to implement projects that enhances infrastructure, promote economic growth and foster a better quality of life for Abuja residents.

The Minister stated this in his Christmas message to residents which was made available to Journalists in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

Mr Wike called on all residents to also meet their obligations and join hands with the administration in its quest of building for our country a befitting capital territory.

He said that, while security has been beefed up across the Territory throughout the duration of the festivities, residents are also advised to be vigilant and reach out to the security agencies whenever they notice anything out of the ordinary.

“For those travelling out of the Territory for the festivities I wish you all a very safe journey and look forward to your return.

“On behalf of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, I hereby extend my heartfelt greetings to all the residents of the Federal Capital Territory for the 2023 Christmas which is a season that transcends borders and, brings people together in a spirit of love, compassion, and goodwill.

“This festive season which celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, holds immense significance for all of us as it symbolizes the birth of hope, the promise of renewal, and the enduring power of kindness. In the midst of our diverse backgrounds and unique journeys, we find common ground in the universal themes of love, generosity, and the joy of giving.”

He enjoyed the residents to always reach out to one another especially the less fortunate ones amongst them with open hearts and open hands, fostering a sense of togetherness and understanding.

“In the spirit of Christmas, let us embrace the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those around us”, he stressed

The Minister reminded residents that small acts of kindness could impact individuals and families facing challenges.

“Let the spirit of the season therefore once again serve as an inspiration for us to bridge gaps, foster understanding, and build communities where every resident feels valued and included.

“As we face the challenges of nation building let us not despair as we forge ahead but look forward with a renewed hope for a brighter future and a determination to build a greater nation for the coming generation of Nigerians.

“As we enjoy the festivities, let us remain law abiding in all our activities especially as they concern city sanitation and traffic management.

“Once more I wish all residents of the Federal Capital Territory a very merry and memorable Christmas.”
