Defence Chief Celebrates Birthday with Sick Personnel

The Nigerian Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, CDS has felicitated with ailing personnel and civilians in the spirit of Christmas and as he marked his birthday.

The Defence Chief was at the Defence Headquarters Hospital, Mogadishu Cantonment, Asokoro, Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

General Musa went around the wards to see how the patients were fairing as he encouraged them to trust God and to recover quickly.

He gave each of the patience hampers and envelopes in the spirit of Christmas.

In an interview with Journalists, the Defence Chief called on Nigerians to take ownership of the security challenges facing as a country.

He said, “The security challenge is a collective effort as all hands should be on deck not just military alone”.

General Musa noted that his visit to the hospital is in tune with his concept and the Armed Forces will continue to do that.

In his birthday message to Nigerians, the CDS urged the citizenry to love their country and stop running away from the country but to work on moving the country forward positively.

 

Both the Doctor, Principal officers of the hospital and the Armed Forces were on the visit.
