The Wife of the Anambra State Governor and founder of the non-governmental crusade, Healthy Living Initiative, Mrs Nonye Soludo has commended  individuals and organisations that are championing the leave-none-behind ideology of the present administration in the state.

Mrs Soludo made the commendation in Nnobi, Idemili South Local Government Area during the 2023 edition of the Ebuka Okafor Foundation’s Christmas Outreach.

Mrs Soludo who was a special guest at the programme where 3000 widows were presented with various gifts, commended the founder of the Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), Ebuka Okafor for thinking home first, and for using his resources to touch humanity.

She noted that even though the government is always committed to delivering the best, it can never get the job done alone, which is why it needs the support from individuals and groups that share the ideology of home development.

The Governor’s Wife described what the Ebuka Okafor Foundation has achieved in the last 11 years as phenomenal, urging other people who have the resources to emulate the gestures.

Mrs Soludo further said that “the foundational objective of the Public Private Community Partnership (PPCP) framework of the present administration is to get all stakeholders involved in development aspirations of the state.”

Briefing the Governor’s wife on the origin and activities of the foundation, Okafor described it as his way of touching lives, saying “the original essence of the foundation is to add value to humanity through charity.”

He commended Mrs Soludo for showing support to the foundation with her presence, and for her works of charity and healthy living through her Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative.

Each of the 3000 widows that got the Christmas support received a bag of rice, beans and garri, cash and rolls of wrapper.

Ebuka Okafor Foundation is a charitable organisation that has been in existence for 11 years.

The foundation’s intervention areas include education, health and human capital investments, with a target of reaching out to the poor and eradicating household poverty.

In its 2023 edition, it provided Christmas support and free medical checks for 3000 widows from different towns in the state.
