The national chairman of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Mr Shehu Gabam has described the death of former Speaker of the National Assembly Dr Ghali Na’abba and the late Ondo State Governor Mr Rotimi Akeredolu as a great loss to the country.
In a condolence message, Gabam who acknowledged their significant contributions to the nation stated that Ghali Na’abba contributed significantly to the development of democracy in Nigeria.
Gabam called on the people of Ondo and Kano States and the entire nation to unite in prayers and mourn the loss of these distinguished leaders.
He stated that the death of the two prominent persons is a great loss to Nigeria because they were leaders of exceptional caliber, and that, their legacies will endure in the hearts and minds of the people they served.
Mr Gabam further extended his party’s thoughts and prayers to the families of the deceased while praying for the repose of their souls.
