The Director General of the National Orientation Agency NOA Mallam Lanre Onilu, has reassured Nigerians that the government is committed to delivering on the mandate and expectations of the people in 2024.

In a New Year message, he explained that the hardship occasioned by the recent removal of fuel subsidies in the country and the side effect of a dwindling economy were temporary challenges that the government is dealing with steadily.

Onilu appealed to Nigerians to continue to contribute as individuals and groups towards building a strong nation with a strong economy that will take care of the problems of its people.

“What the government needs from Nigerians is our continued faith, goodwill, support and prayers so that the challenges we are faced with are solved permanently,’ the NOA Director General said in a statement on Sunday.

“Let us look forward to 2024 with renewed hope and expectation because the government has shown great resolve to ensure a better nation for us all.”

The Director General called on Nigerians to usher in the New Year with renewed hope and expectation with a fresh orientation of service, patriotism, and tolerance. He specifically asked the youth and other citizens to be law-abiding and peaceful in their conduct.

The NOA is a government agency responsible for communicating government policies, programmes, and activities to the public. It also promotes patriotism, national unity, and development among Nigerians.
