The Super Eagles of Nigeria were beaten 2-0 by Guinea in a pre-Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) friendly match, at the Bani Yas Stadium in Abu Dhabi, UAE on Monday.
Nigeria started with Umar Sadiq in attack, with Samuel Chukwueze and Moses Simon supporting on the flanks. Victor Boniface was left out after he picked up an injury in training. For Guinea, in-form striker Serhou Guirassy of Stuttgart featured up front while Francois Kamano and Morgan Guilavogui were on the wings.
Goals from Camara Aguibou and Facinet Conte condemned the Super Eagles to a friendly match defeat ahead of the AFCON.
The team will now return to Nigeria for a send forth party on Tuesday night, hours before the three-time champions are set to depart for Cote d’Ivoire to participate in the 34th Africa Cup of Nations finals starting this weekend.
