Nigeria’s Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, is out of the country to explore opportunities for international partnerships with Nigeria’s public broadcasters: the Nigerian Television Authority, Radio Nigeria, and Voice of Nigeria (VON).
The Information Minister, on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, met with Rachel Corp, the Chief Executive Officer of the London-based independent factual production company, ITN.
According to him, “a partnership of this nature will help advance the Federal Ministry of Information’s quest to have Nigeria’s public broadcasting system operating at the level of global best practices.”
The ITN produces news programmes for the UK’s ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5.
“I look forward to a productive collaboration,” he stated.
