The Government of Anambra State has taken a major step towards addressing the issue of land grabbing, illegal sale, and resale of lands, as well as other problems associated with land administration in the State, with the launch of the Ministry’s Centralized Geographic Information System (e-GIS) System with complete ICT Infrastructure.

The initiative launched with the support of the Anambra State Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Agency, aligns with the vision of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, to deploy technology in simplifying hitherto cumbersome processes in procuring land titles and documents.

The ICT agency has been a pivotal force, offering invaluable technical support in the deployment of the Centralized e-GIS System, in keeping with its mandate of driving the ‘Everything Technology and Technology Everywhere mantra of Governor Soludo.

This initiative promises a streamlined, transparent, and efficient process that benefits both the government and the citizens, setting a standard for digital governance in land administration, that other states can aspire to emulate.
