Lagos Deputy Governor, Others Hail Super Eagles

Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat has hailed the victory of Super Eagles of Nigeria over Côte d’Ivoire, the host nation at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The Deputy Governor who was joined by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe gave the accolades at a mobile special viewing centre ‘Sail and Cheer’ with Lagos Tourism.

The special viewing centre which was on the exotic Lagos coastline, set up on barge moving round, has many nollywood stars, music stars and comedians on board.

They applauded Super Eagles for the victory which has created more chances for Nigeria to scale to another round in the tournament as they charged them to brace up ahead of other matches and bring the trophy home.

Among the celebrities at the special viewing centre include Bolanle Ninalowo, Cute Abiola, Small Doctor, Nkechi Blessing, Destalker, Noble Igwe, Dare Art Alade, Enyinna Nwigwe, Jimmy Hypeman, Yemomole, Dj Neptune and others.

Speaking on the innovation, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr.  Aregbe said, the idea was to celebrate Super Eagles of Nigeria and showcase potential in Lagos tourism ecosystem.

Aregbe disclosed that Sail and Cheers which is an initiative of the State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture is also meant to show the beauty of exotic Lagos coastline as he urged the Nigeria’s representative at the tournament to scale up their efforts ahead of the next match.
