Female Council Boss Extols Ebonyi Governor For Women Inclusion In Politics

A Female Local Government Council Chairman of  Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Mrs Euphemia Nwali has Extolled the Governor, Francis Nwifuru for inclusiveness of Ebonyi women in both Political appointment and elective positions.

The Chairman, Mrs Nwali said the State has Many women as Commissioners, Senior Special Assistants,  Special Assistants, Advisers and others Heads of Ministries Departments and Agencies.

“We have Mrs Ngozi Obichukwu as Commissioner for Aviation, Mrs Chinyere Iyioku as Commissioner for Agriculture and natural resources, many of us as women are Chairmen of Local Government Areas. Most of  our women are Vice Chairmen in various Local Government Areas. To be honest with you women are well represented in politics but we are still asking for more.

“In Ebonyi State, women inclusiveness in politics is more than 35 percentage and we are even going to get more in this present Government,” she said.

The Chairman called on all Ebonyi women  who are interested in politics to come out as politics is not a dirty game as many people thought.

She thanked the wife of the Governor, Chief Maudline Uzomaka Nwifuru for her efforts to end Violence against  women.
