Sokoto state: Government assures residents of easy access to health services

The Sokoto State government has assured every resident of the state easy access to health care services.

The Director General, State Contributory Health Care Management Agency (SOCHEMA), Mal Yusuf Abdulkarim, stated this in a statement while congratulating the state governor, Ahmed Aliyu over his recent victory at the Supreme court on Saturday.

Recall that the governor, while campaigning for the office prior to 2023 general elections, emphasized on a nine-point agenda which includes improving health care delivery to the citizens of the state.

He however demonstrated this in the presentation of the 2024 annual budget to the state assembly when he made the health sector the second highest priority with a provision of over N31 billion.

According to the Director General, “Sokoto State Contributory Health Care Management Agency has assured its commitment towards providing easy access to Health Care services to all residents of Sokoto State in respect of their economic and status.

“Mr Governor, with his recent affirmation of his victory as the Supreme court, he is focused on his rededication as part of his Nine point agenda in providing quality health to all,” he added.

The DG said, the victory of Governor Ahmad Aliyu is the victory of all Sokoto State people and with this victory Sokoto State people will continue enjoying the Good work that he has started.

He further prayed for Allah to guide the Governor and protect him .
