Defence Chief Harps On Collaboration With FIRS

The Nigerian Chief of Defence Staff CDS, General Christopher Musa has paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman Federal Inland Revenue Services ( FIRS), Dr. Zacch Adede, in line with a centric leadership concept of nurturing a professional Armed Forces of Nigeria AFN, to meet constitutional responsibilities in a joint and collaborative environment.

The visit according to the CDS, was to officially congratulate the Chairman FIRS for his deserving appointment by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

General Musa said; “my visit is to further show the AFN commitment to ensuring the safety of life and property in the country.”

He further said that the Armed Forces will ensure FIRS do its work without encumbrances.

Lasting peace

The CDS informed the Chairman FIRS that the “AFN is working in collaboration with other security agencies to bring lasting peace to the country.”

General Musa added that taxation brings awareness and development to the nation.

Responding, the Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue, Dr Zacch Adede described the AFN as a highly disciplined service and critical partner in taxation in the country.

Dr. Adedeji said, “The FIRS need the services of the Military to be able to perform their duties without any hindrances.”

He also said, “the welfare of the military is a top priority for Mr. President.”

He finally thanked the CDS and the entire AFN for their crucial support to the FIRS.
