Bye-election: Ebonyi State Governor Warns Parties Against Intimidation

The Governor of Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria, Mr Francis Nwifuru has warned against any political party intimidating another during the forthcoming Saturday’s Senatorial Bye-Election.
Governor Nwifuru gave the warning during the Mega rally of the All Progressives Congress, APC at Edda Local Government Area of the State in preparation of the Bye-election.
The Governor Charged all Members and supporters of APC not to allow any political party to intimidate them.
“You must do everything within your Powers to resist intimidation of all kinds, you must come out en mass, cast your vote and protect it by yourselves.
“Mr Anthony Okorie Ani should be supported to win the election, he is of APC, he is our own and I pray that before 12pm on Saturday 3rd February, Okorie Ani the Senatorial Candidate For Ebonyi South Senatorial position for the Bye-Election would be declared a winner by Independent National Electoral Commission INEC,” Goverbor Nwifuru said.
It would be recalled that the essence of the Bye-election was as a result of the resignation of the former Senator David Umahi who is now the Minister of Works.
