Angola pressed on for an equaliser but a solid Nigerian defence kept the likes of sensational striker Gelson Dala at bay to ensure they grabbed all three points.

Nigeria had 13 shots on goal against Angola’s 10, three of which were on target for the Eagles while Angola had two.

On the converse, the Super Eagles have had an impressive run despite having had a slow start to their AFCON campaign by settling for a draw in their opener against Equatorial Guinea.
