AFCON: Former Senate President Hails Super Eagles’ Semifinal Win

Former President of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan, has congratulated the Super Eagles for defeating the Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the semi-final stage of the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Senator Lawan, while describing Nigeria’s win as a victory for courage and skill, noted that the victory marks a crucial step in Nigeria’s quest to reclaim the AFCON title and cement its status as Africa’s footballing giant.

In a congratulatory message to the Super Eagles of Nigeria, the ex-Senate President observed that “from the onset of the match, both teams exhibited determination and tactical prowess. However, Nigeria’s spirited display of skillful football kept the South African side on high alert and ensured our victory.
