Nigerian superstars Asake, Limoblaze bag MOBO Awards
At the 2024 Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards ceremony which held at Utilita Arena Sheffield in Sheffield, United Kingdom, on Wednesday, Nigerian superstars Limoblaze, Asake snagged top awards.
Asake won the award for the Best African act while Gospel artiste, Limoblaze took home the award for best gospel act.
Asake was in the category with other Nigerian superstars including Adekunle Gold, Davido, Rema, Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Rema. Also in the category were South African Tyla, Cameroonian-American Libianca, and eSwatini artist Uncle Waffles.
The MOBO Awards are an annual British music award presentation honouring achievements in “music of black origin”, including hip hop, grime, UK Drill, R&B, soul, reggae, jazz, gospel, and African music.
