The Director General of NACA, Dr. Gambo Aliyu, emphasizes the importance of prioritizing safety and well-being while expressing affection.

With an aim to encourage individuals to adopt a comprehensive approach to love, NACA underscores the significance of open communication, mutual respect, and responsible choices.

Dr. Aliyu urges the public to incorporate protection into intimate moments, emphasizing the importance of regular HIV testing and discussions about sexual health with partners.

“Love is a powerful force, and by embracing responsible practices, we can ensure that it enriches our lives without compromising our health. NACA is dedicated to providing resources, information, and support to empower individuals in making informed choices,” he said.

According to Dr. Aliyu, these measures not only enhance personal health but also contribute to the broader goal of building safer and healthier communities.

“In line with our mission, NACA will conduct comprehensive awareness campaigns this Valentine’s Day to educate the public about the importance of both abstinence and safe sex practices.

“The agency aims to create an environment where love is celebrated responsibly, fostering a community that values support and health consciousness.

“As a leading agency in Nigeria dedicated to preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS and improving the quality of life for individuals living with HIV, NACA collaborates with partners to develop and implement effective strategies for HIV prevention, care, and support,” he added.
