The contractor handling the road construction at Finance-Wuye junction interchange has assured the FCT minister, Mr Nyesom Wike, that the project would be ready for commissioning by the end of May.
The assurance was one of the many contractors gave the minister during the inspection tour of project sites carried out on Tuesday by the Minister.
The contractor who confirmed to the minister part payment on the quantity of bill submitted to the administration maintained that the interchange will be ready in May while the network of the roads under the construction will be ready in December 2025.
Speaking on the project essence, the Executive secretary Federal Capital Development Authority, Engr. Sheu Hadi-Ahmed, said when completed, the interchange will drastically reduce the volume of traffic at Bagger interchange especially motorists going to norther axis of the city.
Explaining further the executive secretary noted that the street light on the road will be powered with conventional source of energy.
The FCT mister, Nyesom Wike during the inspection site, ordered that the interchange shoulders should be well protected with concrete to barricade motorists from tuning the space to illegal parks.
