Wives of the Nigerian military have been urged to discover their potential and work towards achieving personal development.
The National President of the Defence and Police Officers Wives Association, DEPOWA, Mrs Oghogho Musa, disclosed this during the visioning and planning workshop programme she organised in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
The DEPOWA President said that “women are leaders in their various homes and Nigeria at large and as such, they need clarity to be able to run the tasks effectively.“
She added that women, with their vision, will go back to review the areas they are lacking and not getting the proper things they need to balance every area of their lives.
“We need programmes like this, to align with their core values as women and live a free and purposeful life,” she said.
According to her, she expects that there will be a positive change in the way of thinking generally and then doing things differently to get better results and impact society.
The founder of Vision Academy and Resource Person, Celina Unogwu, says there is a need for clarity of purpose for strategic planning with the right mindset to achieve one’s dream.
According to her, staying focused despite the challenges or whatever experience requires wisdom to tackle such.
“We need direction in life and for that purpose we found that the consultancy in to be able to help individuals leaders and businesses to clarify where they want to be so that they will know how to get them and that’s a common problem in our society and amongst women as well because we have so much just like the president said there’s so much that is in women,“ she said.
She added that life is not balanced, so with the clarity of all the aspects of life, they can plan accordingly.
Virtually, everybody needs direction in life and for that purpose, there is a need to help individuals, leaders, and businesses clarify where they want to be and how to get there for that reason, she founded the Visioning Academy, just to focus on strategic visioning and seeing the future
