The Government of Osun State has launched a portal to digitize issuance of its state and local government certificates of origin.
The State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, disclosed this in a press release issued in Osogbo, the state capital.
Alimi said the state government led by Governor Ademola Adeleke in collaboration with the state Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, made it happen.
He said the initiative was in line with the Governor’s vision of ensuring improved and efficient service delivery in all sectors and arms of government adding that the initiative was fully digitized and as such could accept applications from anywhere in the world with the click of a button.
The commissioner who explained that the automated service was in furtherance of the Governor’s ease of doing business efforts, urged all Osun indigenes to take advantage of it.
He implored applicants to correctly fill in their details for verification after which the certificate would be ready for download and use.
Alimi also assured that those with old certificates of origin would be able to get them converted to the new electronic one by uploading their old certificates.
The release urged all Osun indigenes to visit the portal https://stateoforigin.osunstate.gov.ng to get their new automated electronic state and local government certificates of origin.
