Corporate Social Responsibility: Nigerian Bank Rewards Customers

First Bank Group has rewarded some of its customers in it’s Win Big Promo targeted at promoting financial inclusion as well as digital banking.

 

This, the bank said also comes as part of efforts to fulfill its Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR).
The Group Head, Marketing & Corporate Communications, FirstBank Group, Ms. Folake Ani-Mumuney, said the exciting modalities of the promo reflects the bank’s commitment to enhance the banking experience of its customers across all of it’s digital banking services.

 

 For his part, the Head, Personal Banking, Ikemefula Nwachukwu, stated that the promo was conceived to encourage customers to save and to also encourage financial inclusion by encouraging people who don’t have accounts to open one.
 Nwachukwu said “We also intended to encourage digital-only banking by moving customer transactions to the channels. At the same time, we intended to reward and recognise customers who do their transactions, who open accounts and those who reactivate their existing accounts.”
” Imagine people sitting in their homes and getting alerts of 100,000 naira. These exclude the about 40 thousand who were rewarded airtime. We just thought it was important to give our customers a sense of belonging, a feel-good factor that they are customers of First Bank,” he stated.

 

The four-month promo, which started on 23 October 2023, will run till 24 February 2024 with the aim of rewarding several new and existing customers of the Bank with a total cash reward of one hundred and seventy million naira (N170,000,000.00).

 

Already, several customers selected from all geopolitical zones of the country have emerged winners.
