The Gbenga Samuel Wemimo Ministries International, a global network of faith-based communities, has just concluded a successful nationwide food distribution drive.
“The food distribution drive aims at providing the basic needs of indigent Nigerians, following the recent food inflation in the country.
“The initiative, carried out by the ministry’s social responsibility arm, provided essential cooked food items to those in need.
“We distributed an average of 100 food packs to 120 food packs each to people in need in the communities we visited,” the team lead said.
Akinrinlola said that the ministry’s food drive started in 2023, adding that sometimes it distributed provisions and food items to the people, and sometimes the team fed the hungry.
She said that the outreach had kept on spreading and that it would keep expanding to reach more Nigerians.
She expressed joy for the opportunity to reach out to the less privileged in society, adding that the group aimed for wider reach in the coming months.
“Our outreaches will be bigger and better in 2024. We thank God for what we have done so far, and we are confident He will help us achieve much more.
“We started with a big bang with our outreach in Bokkos, Jos, earlier in the year, and we are continuing with the same energy.
“We hope to reach more Nigerians with love and hope through our dedicated volunteers,” she said.
According to the team lead, GSWMI-CSR is committed to making a positive impact on communities through various initiatives, including providing aid to those in need, empowering individuals, and fostering development.
