President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed security and intelligence agencies to immediately rescue the abducted victims of the Borno State and Kaduna State abductions.

The President issued the directive on Friday in a statement signed by his Spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale.

President Tinubu also ordered the security and intelligence officers to ensure that justice is served against the perpetrators of the abominable acts.

The President further condemned the incidents of abduction involving vulnerable victims, internally displaced persons in Borno State, and students in Kaduna State.

“I have received a briefing from security chiefs on the two incidents, and I am confident that the victims will be rescued. Nothing else is acceptable to me and the waiting family members of these abducted citizens. Justice will be decisively administered,” President Tinubu says.

The President sympathized with the families of the victims, assuring them that they would soon be reunited with their loved ones.

Recall that on Thursday night Over 280 pupils and teachers of Government Secondary School and LEA primary school at Kuriga, Kaduna State were abducted by bandits.

The bandits reportedly invaded the Kuriga area of the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Thursday, shooting at their victims before taking away at least 280 of the pupils and teachers from both schools.

The incident occurred barely 24 hours after insurgents abducted 200 internally displaced women in Borno State.
