64th Independence: Benue State Moves to Lead in Good Governance

Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, expressed confidence in his administration’s ability to build a model of good governance in Nigeria, with the support of the state’s residents.

During a live broadcast on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, Governor Alia congratulated the people of Benue and all Nigerians for their unity and resilience.

The Governor aligned this year’s Independence Day celebration with the Sustainable Development Goals, highlighting progress in poverty reduction, quality education, and infrastructure development.

He emphasized the importance of empowering citizens to contribute to Benue’s growth and development.

Governor Alia emphasized the need for patience as government policies take time to show results.

He reassured the public of his commitment to their well-being, urging continued support for government initiatives.

In preparation for the upcoming Local Government Council elections, the Governor urged citizens to vote for APC candidates to ensure progress, development, and good governance under the party’s leadership.

He warned against reverting to the underdevelopment and corruption of past administrations, calling for a collective effort to move Benue forward.
