Kwara Government to Support Chamber of Commerce for Economic Growth

The Kwara State Government has said that it will continue to promote economic potentials and economic plans on ease of Doing Business as well as create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the State.

The State Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Damilola Yusuf Adelodun, gave the assurance while receiving the Executives of the Association of Kwara State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KWACCIMA), who paid a courtesy visit to brief the Ministry on the planning and preparations for the forthcoming Annual Trade Fair 2024, in her office.

The Commissioner commended the efforts of KWACCIMA on the preparations ahead of the event, noting that the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration is keen on ensuring development in all the sectors for meaningful livelihoods of the people.

Damilola revealed that the 2024 Annual Trade Fair will take a new look, adding that the State Government will create a lot of opportunities for potential investors to participate at the event, while adequate publicity will be carried out through social media and other channels.

Earlier, the Deputy President, Kwara State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KWACCIMA), Engr Abubakar Salami, thanked the Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his support to boost the socioeconomic development of the State.

 

While highlighting the line up programmes of the event, Engr. Salami disclosed that the Trade Fair will commence on the 6th of December, 2024, which will include empowerment programmes for Nano and Micro Small Medium Scale Entrepreneurs and talented Artists will also be rewarded at the event.

Present at the meeting were the Director Personnel, Finance and Supply, Mr. Tunde Thompson Amos; Director, Commerce, Mr. Adebisi Taiwo; Deputy Director, Commerce, Alhaji Sani Ibrahim; Head of Export Promotion, Fatima Agboola; Deputy President 2, Dr. Hassan Ibrahim Sani; Deputy President, Mines, Chief Ajala Adebowale Olugbenga; member KWACCIMA, Prince Segun Oyewole; Financal Secretary/Administration, Alhaji Ahmed Maigida; and others.
