Chairman of the committee in charge of the northwest, and Senior Special Assistant to the President on political matters, Ibrahim Kabir Masari led the federal government delegation to launch the distribution of the palliative at Peoples Square, Government House, Katsina.

Ibrahim Masari said the distribution of palliative is part of the federal government Food Support Programme aimed at ameliorating hardship occasioned by the rise in prices of food items and other basic amenities

“It was also borne out of president Tinubu’s led federal government resolve to cushion the effect of hardship being experienced by Nigerians as a result of current economic measures being implemented by the federal government.

“The rice distribution, aimed at alleviating the current economic hardship faced by citizens, will reach various segments of the population, including vulnerable women and youth groups at various ward and local government levels in this state.

“When this administration came on board it discovered that a lot of sacrifices need to be done in order to get things working for the betterment of the country.

“Mr. President has appreciated your support and continued cooperation in enduring the bold step taken by his administration to ensure that the country is put back on the right track,” he said.

Ibrahim Masari assured Nigerians that President Tinubu is committed to ensuring that his policies will bring light at the end of the tunnel.
