Kaduna Public Complaints Commission Pledges Enhanced Service Delivery

The Kaduna State Public Complaints Commission (PCC) has reaffirmed its commitment to addressing grievances from the public.

Muhammad Sani Idris, the newly appointed Federal Commissioner gave the assurance during an interview with the Media in Kaduna on Monday.

Idris, who recently assumed office, promised to improve service delivery and staff welfare while ensuring that the commission remains responsive to complaints from residents of Kaduna State and Nigeria at large.

He emphasized that the PCC offers free services to citizens, helping them resolve both private and public issues.

“We also handle matters related to criminal and civil cases within our jurisdiction.

“While there are some cases we cannot intervene in directly, we act as intermediaries by referring such cases to the judiciary for resolution,” he said.

He noted that the commission has its team of lawyers and an investigation department to manage cases under its purview.

Idris highlighted that the PCC recently won 13 cases and is working toward the speedy resolution of pending matters.

The commissioner also mentioned that the PCC, which has been in existence since 1975, plans to enhance its structure and facilities to improve staff welfare.

He further called for stronger collaboration with the media to raise public awareness about the commission’s activities and how citizens can lodge complaints.

Idris expressed confidence in the capability of his staff to handle cases within their jurisdiction, assuring the public of the commission’s readiness to serve effectively.
