Minister Reaffirms Commitment To End Insecurity In Northwest

The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Muhammad Matawalle, has assured the people of the Gundumi community in Sokoto that the President is cognizant of their situation and is committed to taking all necessary measures to restore peace in the area.

Matawalle stated this when he addressed the community on his way to Isa and Sabon Birni local government areas of Sokoto State.

According to him, the present administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, would not relent in its efforts until peace returned to the eastern part of the state.

“I’m here today on the mandate of Mr President, and he directed me to inform you that his government in collaboration with the state will ensure all necessary steps are taken towards achieving yardsticks in the fight against insecurity. 

“We will never leave you alone, and I assure you, we will do this war against bandits together to unleash terror against you people,” he said.

He expressed the federal government’s plan to reinforce more security personnel in all the affected areas of the state.

The Minister sought community support with intelligence gathering for security operatives to continue to win the war against terrorists.

He applauded Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, for his unwavering commitment and support in the fight against insecurity.
