The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is facing serious internal issues, leading the Board of Trustees (BoT) to step in. To restore harmony, the BoT has asked the National Working Committee (NWC) to maintain the current situation after a series of suspensions that have divided the party.

The crisis started when the BoT suspended National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba and National Legal Adviser Kamaldeen Adeyemi Ajibade, SAN. In response, Ologunagba announced the suspension of Acting National Chairman Ambassador Illiya Damagum, adding to the confusion.

BoT Chairman Senator Adolphis Wabara urged all parties to come together and resolve their differences.

“We know disagreements happen, but we must not let them disrupt our goals as a party,” he said.

Wabara assured party members that the BoT would meet with NWC members to promote reconciliation and restore order.

He encouraged party members and supporters to stay calm, emphasizing that the PDP has a strong conflict resolution system in place.

“We believe the current issues will be resolved in a way that makes the party stronger,” he added, highlighting the BoT’s commitment to peace and unity within the PDP.
